Hey Yall!
I finally took out my Braids /twist protective style. I wore the braids for 1 month. I'm surprised w/ myself because i never leave protective styles in longer 2 weeks. I guess its what my hair needed. My hair seems to have grown an inch especially in my problem area.  Im Excited about that....
After removing the braid/twist i did a shampoo with Sisters Keeper  black soap

I then  deep condition w a mixutre of conditioners and oils. Basically a blend of what was left on my product shelf. lol...  I wanted to show off my 1 inch growth by wearing a big fluffy hairstyle so I  did a Ponytail wet set.

I LEFT THE HOUSE LIKE THIS   ^^^^      BUT CAME BACK LIKE THIS

The wind whipped my hair about so furiously that My style couldn't hold.  Luckily i had my 911 hair kit in the car.  What's a 911 hair kit you say?? (A container that has items to  help out w hair & makeup on the go)   My kit has  bobby pins,  ponytail holders,  A pick,  headbands, 2 pair of earrings.& lipstick.    Do you have a 911 hair kit  if so What do you keep in it??/

Have you ever had a Protective style that made you lazy????
(Protective Style  a term used for putting your hair away to protect it, such as braids & weaves)

My last protective style did just that. My first 2 weeks went well. I did  up-dos  and twist-outs  just like i normally would.

I wore headwraps and hats for the next 2 weeks. which was cool for me, I love to adorn myself with beautiful fabric. Wraping my head  makes me feel like royalty.  I made 4 matching sets to similar this....Can u say comfy

All though everything look fine on the outside I  was dead wrong for the  situation under the wraps/hats. Can we say Hot mess!! I neglected my co- wash day,  didn't moisturize my scalp & my twist were fuzzy. Making matters worse  Everyday i would make a pair of leggings w the matching hat or wrap . I had  no incentive at all to get that mess outta my hair.  Fed up w an itchy scalp  finally. I took out my braids/twist while watching  the bet awards.....    Side bar -  What happened to music?
You may ask was having a protective style worth the  efforts  hmmm  I'd say yes and no.
I cut my hair in 3 spots trying to get the weave out NOT GOOD  i did however get a break from my daily hair regime. Next time I'm feeling like i need a break from daily routine of styling & maintenance  I'm gonna keep it simple.  2 strand twist w my own hair  and wraps its just easier.

Braid twist protective style w/ fluffy twist hair added

I noticed there werent many pics of the back of my hair.  This is 1 week later i untwisted the hair. I think it looks very natural for having hair added.  Fluffy twist hair is the Bomb!
